I grew up in a small seaside town called Tramore on the south coast of Ireland. It consistently has surf, though not always the best quality. I started surfing at 6 years old, following in the footsteps of my dad, Ronan Breen, who competed on the Irish team. That's where I fell in love with surfing and the ocean.

I'm also a lifeguard and heavily involved in surf life saving and water safety in Ireland. This year, 2023, I won my first Irish Senior Longboard National title, the same title my dad won 25 years ago in 1998. This was a big moment for my family and Irish surfing, making history as the first father-son duo to win the same national title in Ireland.

I also competed in the European Longboard Championships in Portugal, where I came 4th in the longboard division. This was a massive milestone in my surfing career.
